C’est un grand terroir argilo-calcaire qui produit un vin d’une grande puissance et d’une très belle complexité. L’élevage de 18 mois en demi-muids dans nos caves situées sous la forteresse de Chinon.

Wine making

Organic viticulture. Traditional hand picking into small crates. Use of indigenous yeast. Ageing in demi-muid (large wooden vat), Sans sulfites ajoutés. Sols argilo-calcaires.

Appareance

Ruby-red colour, deep. La robe : joli rouge rubis très profond.

Nose

Black fruit aromas, red fruit aromas, arômes de fruits mûrs, spice aromas. Le nez : des arômes de fruits noirs et d’épices se dégagent à l’aération.

Palate

Powerful, characterful, ripe tannin. La bouche : puissante, les tanins sont présents et soyeux. Le vin est porté par une très belle longueur aromatique.
